Healing — Can I Make It Happen?

Sickness knocks at the door. From the simplicity of a headache to the complexity of a life threatening illness, like a weed in the garden, left unattended it will grow.

If we viewed our body as a scale, which must constantly be brought into balance, we would quickly discover that the knock of sickness can be softened, often stopped, indeed prevented.

How can that be, you ask? the cares of life, bad genes, aging, all will eventually take their toll. Please recall that when the gardener weeds the garden — the garden "smiles and blooms." So in fact, does our body. As the gardener best knows his or her garden, so in fact no one is better equipped to pull the weeds than you.

What are the weeds that grow in our garden?

  • Poor diet
  • Extra pounds
  • Little exercise
  • Negative thoughts & word

Left unattended, these are the weeds that will choke out the bloom — you are the gardener!

"But," you say, "my gardening skills are poor. I am locked into a job I hate, my partner smokes, I have tried to lose weight and failed.

Begin at the beginning! As a novice gardener does not tackle an acre of ground. In the beginning we start with a small step such as:

  • One orange, fruit, or vegetable daily.
  • Ex: cantaloupe, yams, yellow squash, pumpkin, or carrots.
  • Cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli, cauliflower or Brussels sprouts, 3 to 4 times a week.
  • One serving of a leafy green vegetable daily (dark green lettuce, steamed collard, kale or Swiss chards).
  • Begin to walk for at least 20 minutes daily.
  • Spend at least 15-20 minutes daily in quiet, reflective time.
  • Thank you body daily for its strength and support. (I believe your cells are always listening to your conversation).
  • Never claim an illness — see every knock at the door as a health challenge that you are victoriously overcoming.

Remember: You are the primary gardener (not your doctor, your partner or your family). Take your body and begin to pull out the weeds — then be prepared, the harvest of health will inevitably come.
